Job Title: QA Engineer (MS Dynamics 365)

Location: Richmond, VA 23219

Contract Duration: 6 months

Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with a strong technical background and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to join our innovative team. As a Technical QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Dynamics 365 applications and integrations. You will work closely with development teams, architects, and business stakeholders to design, execute, and automate comprehensive test plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, focusing on technical aspects such as data integrations, customizations, and configurations.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of Dynamics 365 solutions, including APIs, custom workflows, and extensions.
• Collaborate with developers to understand technical specifications and ensure proper test coverage.
• Utilize debugging tools and techniques to analyze issues and perform root cause analysis of defects.
• Automate test cases using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Conduct load and stress testing to assess system performance under various scenarios.
• Document test results, track defects, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated on Dynamics 365 updates, patches, and new features to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on testing methodologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role with a strong technical focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, Finance, etc., and their technical implementations.
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, and development tools (e.g., Power Platform, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and understanding database schemas for testing purposes.
• Experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, SpecFlow, Cucumber) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
