Position: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Birmingham, Al
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, payroll and benefits administration and compliance.
Reports to: Head of Colleagues and Culture
Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle recruitment process, including job descriptions and postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers
- Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on various HR-related issues, including performance management, payroll and benefits, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company culture.
- Coordinate and facilitate colleague engagement programs
- Maintain colleague records and ensure data integrity in HRIS system
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations
- Assist in the administration of benefits and compensation programs
- Handle payroll functions and ensure accuracy in processing
- Support HR initiatives and projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
