Position SummaryAs a PBM Sales Director focusing on top of funnel activities, you will lead our efforts in generating new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, cold calling, and scheduling meetings with key decision-makers. Your role is pivotal in driving the initial stages of our sales process, laying the foundation for long-term client relationships and revenue growth..
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Develop and execute targeted prospecting strategies to identify and qualify potential clients within the healthcare industry, including TPA’s, employers, and other stakeholders. Utilize various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media, to generate high-quality leads.
  • Cold Calling and Outreach: Conduct proactive outreach to prospects via phone calls, emails, and other communication channels. Effectively communicate our value proposition, solutions, and differentiation to generate interest and engagement.
  • Qualification and Needs Assessment: Engage with prospects to understand their pain points, challenges, and business objectives related to pharmacy benefit management. Conduct thorough needs assessments to qualify leads and determine their fit for our services.
  • Appointment Setting and Meeting Scheduling: Secure appointments and schedule meetings with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives, pharmacy directors, and benefits managers. Coordinate meeting logistics and ensure timely follow-up to confirm attendance and maximize attendance rates.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities, including leads, contacts, conversations, and outcomes, using CRM software. Track progress against sales targets and proactively identify opportunities to optimize pipeline efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the sales leadership team and other stakeholders to align prospecting efforts with overall sales strategies and objectives. Provide regular updates on pipeline status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales prospecting and lead generation. Continuously seek feedback, iterate on strategies, and implement improvements to enhance effectiveness and results.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales roles focused on prospecting, lead generation, and appointment setting, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong proficiency in cold calling techniques, with the ability to effectively engage prospects, overcome objections, and secure appointments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for exceeding targets and driving business outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools for lead management and pipeline tracking.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to managing time and resources.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
