W&A Engineering, Inc. is Hiring a Senior SUE Project Manager Near Athens, GA

GroundHawk is known for delivering accurate analysis and inventory of everything that’s underground so that you can design and build with confidence across the Southeast. Our approach to utility location blends state-of-the-art technology with more than 20 years of experience which allows us to provide community-minded solutions that deliver our clients with actionable and insightful information because we know what’s underground is essential to life above ground. We are seeking an experienced utility location professional with project management experience to lead projects for GroundHawk across the Southeastern US.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Prepare proposals, project schedules, and weekly summary sheets.
  • Active engagement in the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of field crews and office work.
  • Managing project deliverables and project related correspondence to meet deadlines.
  • Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.
  • Maintaining quality assurance and safety on all projects.
  • Serving as a representative of GroundHawk at project meetings.
  • Build relationships with potential and existing clients to foster long-term relationships.
  • Utilize CAD or appropriate software applications to produce field packets and client deliverables.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly invoicing.
Qualifications
  • Eight to Ten (8-10) years of Utility, Utility Engineering or SUE experience required.
  • Must have solid time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Must be organized and thorough in project related tasks.
  • Must have experience in the development of client relationships.
  • Ability to effectively network to obtain strategic growth for new business and key clients.
  • Ability to work in the field and office to learn SUE & Land Surveying services, as needed.
  • Ability to travel as necessary in support of projects within Colorado and the company.
  • Ability to learn new software to support both field and office operations.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor staff as needed.
  • Must have good communication & problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA Safety Certification & First-Aid training is a plus.
  • Prior utility or geophysical related experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an office environment that offers flexibility.
