Full Job DescriptionJob - Key Result Areas (KRA)
- Effectively Manage the Asphalt Plant Operations
- Hire, Train, Mentor and Grow your staff to run their respective plant operations.
- Create a development and evaluation program that allows top performers to grow as well as mentor and bring up the less experienced.
- Insist on the Highest Standards on all the items below
- Be the leader of the plant division in learning & teaching the OCI process. Help teach this division what continuous improvement means & how important it is.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Division to make sure Equipment is repaired in a timely manner.
- Manage 50th Street AC Storage.
- Manage and Refine Crushing operations across all plants.
- Safety
- Establish and maintain all operations in a safe and workable situation
- Follow all OSHA regulations and create a culture that maintains a high emphasis on safety practices.
- Train and equip the whole team on all emergency procedures.
- Perpetually audit all plants to ensure proper guarding is in place, procedures are in place, and employees are abiding by safe workplace procedures.
- Insist on clean, organized facilities
- Create and Maintain the Highest Standards of all the Team
- Customer Service and Friendliness in Communication
- Professional and Respectful Internal and External Communication.
- Improve communication between the HMA Plant Division and all other divisions of the company.
- Accurate and Timely reporting of all paperwork, dispatches, trucking time cards.
- Produce all Material in Specification and in coordination with Quality Control Dept.
- Stay in total communication with QC Dept. ensuring we are on the leading edge of quality and efficiency with our mix designs.
- Educate yourself and your team on QC process and results.
- Manage Material Inventory with production efficiency in mind. Both Aggregates as well as Liquid AC.
- Verify between the plants and QC that we are making the correct mix with correct materials
- Teach and follow up that we are making the best mix for the customer with the most effective materials
- Follow up with sales and any customer that has any mix quality issues.
- Plan for and ensure maximum Production
- Teach, Train and Maintain all plants to ensure 99% run time availability
- Constantly educate our team on plant operations with internal and external opportunities
- Evaluate and maintain the appropriate level of spare parts and all relationships for availability of these parts.
- Insist on maximum production capabilities for efficiency
- Provide knowledgeable insights of plant capacity for planning of next day orders
- Learn and stay the Innovative leader in our marketplace
- Permits and Regulations
- Learn and educate the team on all rules, permits and laws that we operate in accordance with.
- Operate within these boundaries (Storm water, air quality)
- Report as needed to our governing agencies (OKC, ODEQ)
- Manage SWP3 Reporting.
- Ensure Air Quality Emissions are always in accordance with specific plant permits.
- Oversee Underground Tanks and will be supported by corporate License Holder.
