DescriptionLaw Firm is looking for an attorney to join their workers' compensation department. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm's clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. You will have the opportunity to work along with some of the best lawyers in Chicago, including former judges in their firm. This position reports to their Downtown Chicago office. We are a trial-focused firm, that takes pride in winning for their clients.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to clients.
- Provide Workers' Compensation experience and knowledge.
- Handle case management from inception to completion.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Communicate and manage relationships with clients and opposing counsel.
- Fully investigate cases and documenting findings.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Examine medical evidence.
- Maintain regular contact with clients.
- Attend court.
- Litigate cases to trial.
