- Work client leads through the sales funnel process, ultimately closing sales deals by securing purchase orders.
- Seek out new clients and establish business relationships.
- Travel across the United States to conduct in-person demonstrations of our products with key potential partners.
- Leverage existing client contacts to build opportunities and ultimately, sales.
- Maintain current client relationships and identify areas for potential clients and growth.
- Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.
- Provide input on and influence how to improve the sales strategy.
- Research the latest in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand business.
- Have a strong understanding of our products, business position and the competitive landscape.
- Ensure end-to-end servicing of the clients.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Degree in marketing, business or similar area preferred.
- Experience in selling in the food services industry
- Having a strong interest in cooking is mandatory (being able to conduct demonstrations in professional kitchens in front of experienced chefs).
- Interest in traveling.
- Food logistics sales .
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely,
- Attention to detail,
- Strong negotiations skills,
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities,
- Understanding of sales optimization tools, the sell-through process and logistics
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-starter with an entrepreneurial / "start-up" mind-set.
