Job DescriptionThe Settlement and Finance Coordinator will be pivotal in handling complex financial tasks related to our legal proceedings. You will be responsible for the meticulous reconciliation of incoming settlement payments from co-counsel law firms, ensuring timely and accurate client payouts, and managing lien resolutions through our third-party vendor, Epiq. This position demands a high level of proficiency in Salesforce to streamline processes and enhance data management within our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile Incoming Settlement Payments: Ensure all settlement payments received from co-counsel law firms are accurately accounted for and reconciled within Salesforce and QuickBooks .
- Client Payments Management: Efficiently process and issue payments to clients, maintaining transparent communication and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Lien Resolution: Coordinate with Epiq to resolve liens effectively, ensuring compliance and precision in financial obligations before releasing funds.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Generate detailed financial reports and ensure compliance with legal and financial standards.
- Technology Integration: Utilize Salesforce to its full potential, enhancing financial tracking and client data management to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; additional certifications such as CPA or CFA are advantageous.
- Proven track record in financial management or accounting, preferably within a legal or settlement-focused environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce, with the ability to leverage technology to optimize financial processes and data management.
- Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
