ResponsibilitiesMaintain, train personnel, set-up user profiles (internal employee and third party), and respond to inquiries regarding all accounting related tasks including but not limited to:
Systems and SoftwareYardi - Commercial and Residential Voyager, Yardi One, CRM, Fixed Assets Module, Job Cost Module, Client Central, Resident Café/Site Manager, Elevate/Payscan
Citrix - Database, file maintenance
Setup and maintain user database
Implementation - assist with implementing new databases
Microsoft Software - Office 365 applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Sharedrive
Proficient in Excel - Excel proficiencies should include: data entry, formatting, sorting, formulas such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, If/Then, Match, and familiarity with Tables, Pivot Tables, etc.
Human ResourcesTimesheets and Employee Time Management - Collect, review, and approve timesheets for accuracy, and provide to Director of Human Resources for further processing
Collect and review time off forms
Implement internal employee training schedule
Conduct initial and periodic training on accounting systems and software
3rd Party Property Management Relations/Senior Accountant ReviewsTrain and onboard all 3rd party management employees
Review Senior Accountants' financials
Due DiligenceProperty Acquisitions - Complete real estate acquisition checklist, initiate real estate acquisition's entry workbook setup and entry, reconcile initial tenant related subledger items, ASC-805 appraisal valuation review and implementation, Due To/Due From schedule setup and reconciliation
Property sales - complete real estate sale's checklist, initiate real estate sale's entry workbook setup and entry, reconcile tenant related subledger items (reversal and proration), Due To/Due From schedule setup and reconciliation, fixed assets held for sale and dispositions.
Project ManagementFixed Assets - Lead Job Cost implementation, review monthly fixed assets workbook, Construction in Progress reconciliation review, review all open projects and assist accountants with closing out projects.
Management ContractsReview the management contract prior to real estate acquisition, modify by incorporating accounting related clauses
FinancialsFinancial reviews - Accountant Financial Workbooks consisting of the following:
Bank Reconciliations, Mortgage Reconciliations, Equity Schedules, Due To/Due From, Real Estate Tax Reconciliation, Insurance Reconciliation, Fixed Asset Reconciliation, Subledgers, Financial Reports, Asset Management Schedules, Lender Required Schedules, Other tasks as required
AuditAudit Process - Communication with the auditing personnel, assist Director of Finance with entire audit process
User AdministrationMaintenance - Maintaining distribution list which consists of user information
QualificationsBachelor's degree
CPA is a plus
5 years of Accounting experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities
