Electrical Estimator / Project Manager Our client is seeking an individual to work in our Allentown Office that is capable of preparing detailed Electrical Estimates, and Project Management from start to finish. This individual must be familiar in Commercial, and Industrial projects. Candidate must also have a minimum of five years' practical experience or a four-year degree. Estimator / Project Manager Responsibilities and Duties of the Position
- Understand and work through the bid process
- Review all contract documents to become familiar with project requirements and obligations under the contract and apply to pricing (schedule, specifications, drawings, safety manual, etc.)
- Submit RFI's for estimating question by deadline
- Perform material take off
- Understand and plan the estimate information for cost coding of the project for construction
- Establish a construction schedule to develop manpower for estimate.
- Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes and evaluate for completeness and best price for use in bid
- Develop a detailed proposal letter or bid form
- Generate award documents for review to be submitted by deadline
- Identify possible orders, subcontracts and contracts for accuracy
- Purchase of packages, services, and subcontractors in accordance with the purchasing policy
- Estimate change order costs
- Review and understand project data and develop methods to execute the timely and productive completion of assigned projects
- Review project proposals or plans to determine work timeframes, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing projects
- Conduct job site visits to monitor overall progress
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel to ensure projects advances according to schedule and within budget
- Provide timely change orders to the customer
- Prepare close out documentation
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Public works and or industrial knowledge
- College degree preferred or experience in industry
- Computerized estimating experience (Accu-Bid a Plus)
- Labor factor analysis, and modification
- Microsoft office
