A boutique Family Law Firm in New York is looking for an associate attorney to join their team. They are seeking a self-driven, dynamic individual who excels in serving as a partner to clients throughout their family law journey.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence.

· Manage all phases of family law cases from inception to resolution, including discovery, settlement negotiations and trial preparation.

· Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current law.

· Draft, Review and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, agreements, and orders.

· Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediation sessions.

· Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, and explaining legal processes and options.

· Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes.

· Work collaboratively with legal assistants, paralegals, and other attorneys in the firm to deliver high quality legal services.

· Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal obligations, maintaining client confidentiality and professional integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school

· Active and in good standing with the New York Bar Association.

· Minimum 2 years of practicing family law.

· Strong knowledge of family law status, regulations, and case law.

· Excellent oral and written communications skills.

· Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong negotiation and mediation skills.

· Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

· Empathy and sensitivity to clients facing personal and emotional challenges.

· Proficiency in legal research and soft ware and case management systems

· High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
