Responsibilities And Duties
- Perform research and analysis, utilizing feedback from other industry experts.
- Coordination with engineers and technicians. BIM coordination.
- Stays current with all design software and attends training as needed and/or required.
- Reads blueprints.
- Provide field support as needed.
- Submit designs for approval by architect/engineer/customer and AHJ.
- Provide hydraulic calculations and stock listing.
- 5 years experience with fire sprinkler system design, including hydraulic calculations and layout
- Proficiency in AutoSprink is preferred or the desire to learn
- Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 14, NFPA 72
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- NICET II Water Based Systems Layout
- NICET in Special Hazard Systems is desired
