Location - Charlottesville, VA, US
Commercial Roof Inspector. Applicants for this position should have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the commercial roofing industry and / or related architectural fields. This individual should be proficient in reading and understanding roof plan drawings, construction details, and related technical specifications; as well as proficient in the ability to communicate areas of concern both verbally and in written reports.

Location - Charlottesville, VA, US
Commercial Roof Inspector. Applicants for this position should have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the commercial roofing industry and / or related architectural fields. This individual should be proficient in reading and understanding roof plan drawings, construction details, and related technical specifications; as well as proficient in the ability to communicate areas of concern both verbally and in written reports.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficient in reading / understanding construction documents
- Proficient in reviewing roof system installations and documenting conditions observed
- Reliable and dependable
- Basic computer skills
- Holds certification through International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC)
- Manage personal schedule of 1-2 ongoing installations
- Complete onsite inspections and document materials used, means of installations, and areas of concern observed
- Complete daily electronic inspection log and submit to office for review and submission to client
- Maintain rapport with onsite contractors, building owners, and involved design parties
- Items: Not required but is beneficial for the position. Individuals lacking these requirements will be required to pursue further education and testing for IIBEC certification.
