Tax CPA
We are a well-established firm with a decades-long history of providing quality accounting, tax, and financial services to our clients. We're seeking an ambitious CPA to join our tax preparation team and develop into a partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and driven professional to play an integral role in our future. The ideal candidate will have experience with tax preparation and planning for individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
Certified Public Accountant ResponsibilitiesPrepare federal and state income tax returns including detail support and calculations.
Prepare income tax extensions and estimated tax payment calculations
Prepare year-end journal entries as required.
Prepare monthly GL account reconciliations.
Perform research on tax issues and preparation of tax research memos.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area.
Certified Public Accountant Qualifications3 to 5 years tax accounting experience in public accounting
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
CPA is required
Comfortable with tax research tools
Strong understanding of Tax and GAAP principles
Ability to gather, organize and analyze data
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly in Excel
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of tax software, preferably Drake
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
In-depth tax knowledge at the local, state and federal levels
