Job DescriptionNow Hiring: Insulation Supervisor / Team Lead / Foreman

We are a professional home performance company with a great team of skilled insulation installers whose hard work and customer service have helped us earn amazing awards like the Governor's Energy Excellence Award and Consumers Energy's Top Performing Contractor Award. We are NOT like other insulation companies, and we only want to work with you if you have a desire to learn and develop a career in the home performance industry. If you enjoy leading by example to motivate a team that achieves quality results and earns positive feedback from customers, we want you to join our team. We would love to have a conversation with you and bring you in to meet the team on a paid field trial day.
Applicant RequirementsThe applicant must demonstrate personable and professional conduct while interfacing with customers & contributing to a fun yet focused work environment. Project management skills are required to clearly and concisely instruct crew members and sub-contractors. An ability to multi-task and problem solve to maintain a safe and efficient project site is required. The applicant must have a valid driver's license (bonus points for a chauffeur license), provide their own transportation and be willing to have a background check and drug test. At least one year of carpentry experience with knowledge of residential construction is required. Experience with blown in insulation and spray foam insulation are preferred, but not required (paid training is provided). At least one year of experience leading a team of two or more to efficiently achieve quality results is a must. The applicant must have patience to train their team to follow standard operating procedures and confidence to hold team members accountable for a high standard of performance. An understanding of building science principles including air sealing and insulating the building envelope and running blower door tests are preferred, but not required.
Please note, we are NOT looking for someone just interested in project management and/or supervision. You will be working alongside the crew and managing the project. The work we do requires a high degree of physical stamina. The winning candidate will be able to pull her or his entire body weight up through an attic hatch door (1ft x 1.5ft opening), work under conditions of extremely high heat and extreme cold (Imagine 8-10 hour days inside an attic all summer or working in a damp and chilly crawlspace all winter). She or he must be able to wear a full-face respirator for up to ten hours per day and drag up to 50 pounds of equipment while belly-crawling. She or he will be comfortable working on a ladder and on a roof. Our jobs are located throughout Metro Detroit, from Ann Arbor to Grosse Pointe and Troy to Taylor, please keep this in mind when applying.
