The Director of Development is responsible for leading, managing and overseeing all functions within the operations of the development department, including fundraising, events, communications, marketing, branding, public relations, volunteer engagement, and grant writing. This role will focus on maintaining the relationship between Wabash Center and its donors through stewardship and fundraising events to enhance community awareness and increase donations to the Organization to provide for both short- and long-term goals. This position reports regularly to Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors.
Here is what you can do for Wabash Center:
Leads and oversees staff, operations and activities within the Development department as well as community partners and volunteers.
Implements and monitors a comprehensive fundraising plan to expand philanthropic support of the Organization including using budget cycles to guide fundraising campaign decisions.
Identifies and strengthens both new and existing relationships with community stakeholders and corporate partnerships.
Provides input to strategic direction and decisions to support Organizational development initiatives and the annual growth and budget goals.
Fosters strong donor and sponsorship engagement through donor acknowledgments, networking and implementation of donor-specific stewardship strategies.
Plans, organizes, and executes annual fundraising events that effectively promotes financial and relationship engagement, and communicates the needs and purpose of the Organization.
Leads design and implementation of marketing and branding programs to increase and enhance awareness of Wabash Center and fundraising events and appeals, including but not limited to: print materials, event themes, mailings, website, and other audio-visual and photographic needs.
Managing and tracking inputs in donor database to ensure accuracy and up-to-date relationship information.
Act as an agency liaison with news media and Board of Directors on behalf of the Organization.
Assist in the identification, preparation and application of grant funding.
