DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform a variety of semiskilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions. To adhere to the general safety plan. May be required to do other duties as requested by supervisor. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgement. Performs work at a quality level consistent with Wabash standard practice. Supervised by supervisor, general foreman, manager or department head.

Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:

* Own and help improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Performance

* Keep work area free of any potential work hazards

* Caulking materials

* Measuring and cutting material

* Installing rivets

* Operating heavy machinery

* Installing truck bed flooring

* Following decal templates/ blueprints

* Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts

* Performs additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another department.

* Wear approved personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.

* Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This includes regard to individual safety, the safety of co-workers and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operate tools or controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. Must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. May lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
