Job Summary:

The incumbent will be an experienced corporate Controller reporting directly to the President of WAC Lighting. The Controller owns full global responsibility and oversight for all financial activities. Success will be based on leveraging astute competence in the areas of Leadership, Accounting and Finance Principles, Regulatory and Tax Compliance, Budgeting, and Reporting, all in support of strategic decision making to fortify and safeguard the financial health of all company assets and investments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own and drive full oversight and accountability for financial activities and cost control globally.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance to multi state regulations and multiple entities.
• Develop and implement tools, technologies, policies, and best practices to foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams including Operations, Distribution, Supply Chain and Sales.
• Deliver global direction and drive results in accordance with Accounting and Finance principles and regulations
• Own and oversee accurate and timely filing of annual Tax Returns and Sales Tax returns globally for all entities.
• Identify trends and economic indicators to mitigate risk and leverage tax opportunities accordingly.
• Ensure delivery of ROI. Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiencies and safeguard global assets and investments.
• Provide full oversight in the areas of Cost Accounting, Cost of Goods and Cost Control.
• Provide oversight to Accounting and Finance Teams in the delivery of financial reporting and reconciliation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Own and drive the External audit process and schedules.
• Cultivate and maintain strong effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Own and oversee the annual Global Budget Process.
• Own the Global inventory audit process annually in cross functional collaboration with the CPA, Distribution/Warehouse and Operations teams.
• Deploy policies, tools and metrics to enhance top level business objectives.
• Coach, mentor and inspire the team to achieve measurable results.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting is required. Master of Business Administration is preferred.
• 15 years of direct Accounting and Finance Leadership and oversight experience in a complex consumer product Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with responsibility for International entities is preferred.
• Up to date mastery of Accounting and Finance Principals and Regulatory requirements in multiple states.
• Proven history of leading large, high performing teams with a collaborative, hands on leadership style.
• Prior Multi-State Sales Tax Filing experience for multiple entities throughout the U.S.
• International Taxation and Regulatory Accounting and Finance experience is preferred.
• Proven high level analytical skills.
• Experience utilizing current PC office tools and technology including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Experience using SAP professionally is preferred.
  

  The expected salary is $175,000-325,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
