WAC | Work Activity Center is Hiring an Accounting Clerk Near Salt Lake, UT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Track and monitor participant income and expenditures in QuickBooks; produce monthly financial reports
- Reconcile participant bank accounts accurately and in a timely manner
- Receive and verify invoices for vendors, accurately post invoices, prepare accurate payments, and ensure invoices are paid by the payment due date.
- Processes employee and client payroll in ADP WorkForce Now
- Associate degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, or a high school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and QuickBooks
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Utah driver's license
- Ability to proactively identify problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Ability to use data analysis tools to identify trends and identify potential errors in expenditure tracking or usage
- Excellent time management and administrative skills - ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to work quickly and maintain composure while under pressure to meet deadlines
- Accounting experience in the non-profit sector
- Previous payroll experience
Starting rate of pay: $20-22 per hour, DOE
SCHEDULE: 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
This is a full-time position with fringe benefits, including medical, dental, and life insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off.
