Wachter is accepting applications for an Internal Audit Power Business Intelligence Developer in our Lenexa, KS office. This position contributes to Wachter’s success by supporting Internal Audit’s mission to improve the overall governance, risk, and control environment. The Power BI Developer/Analyst’s work will support Internal Audit in providing independent assurance, advice, and insights to senior leadership by providing audit planning support and executing analytical Power BI dashboards for risk assessment, testing evidence, and fraud investigations.

• BSc/BA in Data Analytics, Math, Finance, Computer Science, or relevant field. 
• Industry experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist. 
• At least 2 years of experience delivering data analytics from varied systems in formats understandable to management.
• Background in data warehouse design and data mining. 
• Strong understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing, and ETL frameworks. 
• Familiarity with BI technologies, specifically Microsoft’s BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)

• Verify whether reports and data located in company databases provided by internal IT or from vendors meet audit requirements.
• Act as liaison between IT and Internal Audit on technology questions and reporting needs.
• Participate with the Internal Audit Manager in developing Power BI dashboards for visualization to represent audit risk assessment, audit findings, or evaluate trends in financial data or internal controls as necessary.
• Suggest new ways to retrieve, gather, organize, and use Wachter data to support the audit mission and other management needs.
• Participate with audit staff in identifying data of most audit significance typically using data, statistical and quantitative analysis.
