We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity Inspector III for our site in Charleston, TN. What You Will DoThis role will function as the lead API Inspector for the Charleston site. The Mechanical Integrity Inspector is responsible for properly interpreting regulations, codes, and industry standards; documenting and transmitting of inspection results and making recommendations as appropriate for repair/upgrade/retirement of equipment; and defining and approving repairs to fixed equipment, per the applicable ASME/API standards, potentially including auditing and evaluation of contracted repair org., and inspection of repair work. The role reports to M.I. Inspection Supervisor. Other duties are listed below:
MI: Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on MI inspection compliance; schedule progress, resolution of recommendations, prioritization of inspections and recommendations
Monitor and track inspection budgets to ensure that scheduled inspections are budgeted
Provides oversight of MI team for inspections, testing, and repairs of fixed equipment and piping.
Special projects support-non routine MI activities such as weldolets, non-routine vessel inspections, expansion, joints
What We Need From You
HS Diploma or equivalent
API Inspector with multiple certifications (510,570, 653, etc.) and demonstrated experience in the chemical industry
2 -5 years plant pressure vessel and piping inspection experience
API 510 and 570 certifications plus certifications as required by Level I and II MI Inspector
Working understanding of. API-510, API-570, API-579, ASTM Specifications, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME B31.3 . is a plus
Well-versed in Meridium (APM), SAP, and Microsoft Office applications
Organizational skills to present complex data to plant management
publish detailed inspection packages for use by Field inspectors
flexibility to meet changing requirements based on Plant and MI needs
develop and maintain KPI dashboards as needed
Strong leadership and work ethic
Motivated self-starter
Champions and promotes a strong personal and process safety culture.
Has strong written and verbal communication skills. Prepares and organizes written presentations, documentation and reports pertaining to the MI program.
Experience with Risk-Based Inspection and API RBI Software
Experience Working with Inspection Data Management Systems (IDMS)
Support the site in upset conditions with MI needs to minimize downtime and ensuring repairs meet standards
Maintain and report on Mechanical Integrity key performance indicators (KPIs)
Participate in Management of Change (MOCs), Pre-startup Safety Review (PSSRs), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and audits/assessments as needed/requested.
Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position.
