Position Summary: The Commercial Customer Service role is crucial in our organization by providing empathetic and effective communication to clients, ensuring the best insurance solutions to meet their needs. This role is essential for driving the company's success through customer retention and sales, reflecting the organization’s core values.
Essential Functions:
  • Account Manager Support (20%)
    • Assist the Account Manager in all customer service, onboarding, and renewal duties as assigned
    • Communicate with clients, document in CRM, follow-up with underwriters and producers, and assist with renewal packages
    • Measured By: Account Manager feedback, NPS rating
  • Pest Control Commercial Renewals (50%)
    • Plan, prepare, and execute all Pest Control Commercial Renewals
    • Start the renewal process 90 days prior to the effective date, pull quotes, send to clients, review applications, and present renewal proposals
    • For renewing clients: collect payment, submit a binder request 30 days prior, review binders, update the system, issue certificates, and set-up follow-up diaries
    • For non-renewing clients: document reasons, set-up diaries for reapproach
    • Measured By: 100% retention for renewals not going to competitors, timely and accurate renewals, NPS rating
  • Customer Relations (20%)
    • Timely and accurate COI processing for all Commercial Lines customers
    • Provide Certificates of Insurance with all required endorsements
    • Review alerts from insurance companies and process COI requests within 24 hours
    • Measured By: Process all COI requests within 24 hours of client request
  • Producer Support (10%)
    • Assist Producers with submissions for Pest Control new business
    • Establish positive relationships with producers, ensuring timely and accurate proposals and system updates
    • Measured By: Producer feedback, timely and accurate proposals, system documentation
Interactions:
  • Agency Manager: Weekly 1:1 meetings, daily check-ins, strategic discussions
  • Prospects: Building rapport, providing expertise, quotes, and onboarding
  • Pest Control Underwriter: Submit quotes, answer questions
  • Producers: Support for new submissions, ensuring smooth onboarding
  • Account Manager: Support and manage delegated work
  • Clients: Annual renewals, positive relationship building, issue resolution, and policy renewals
Decision Making:
  • Escalate Client or Coverage Issues: Reviewed by Account Manager; impact on legal, operational, and financial aspects
  • Identify Gaps in Coverage: Notify Account Manager
Job Specifications/Qualifications:Education and Training:
  • High School Diploma
  • Texas Property and Casualty License (required or will provide)
Experience:
  • 2 or more years of customer service experience in commercial insurance
Skills & Abilities:
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a confident and mature attitude
  • Knowledgeable in all business insurance products
  • High emotional intelligence, ability to build rapport quickly, and establish trust
  • Strong business acumen and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • High responsiveness with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Collaborative team player to resolve customer needs effectively
