POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, provides a range of clerical, clinical, and operational tasks to support a 12 chair, multi-location, comprehensive dental program with an emphasis on pediatric care. The individual must be able to perform duties with different providers on a daily basis. This position supports the dentist and/or dental hygienist in the performance of dental procedures in a manner which displays technical competence, time management skills, and contributes to the efficient turn over of operatories to expedite utilization. Performs dental radiograph services; prepares and maintains dental equipment and supplies in accordance with established protocol, procedures, and standards; and may assist in the coordination of day-to-day patient administration, records management, and office support activities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Prior employment history as a clinical assistant or successful completion of a Dental Assisting training program
3. Approval by Dental Director and Office Manager in lieu of experience, training, or applicant examination is required
