POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Dental Clinical Operations Director, the Dental Team Office Manager provides financial, administrative, management, programmatic, and clinical support for a multiple operatory, comprehensive dental program with emphasis on pediatrics. The individual must have a comprehensive working knowledge of clinical dentistry principles and front office operations that include third party payor processes. The position requires the ability to concurrently perform multiple responsibilities, critically assess and appropriately respond to operational demands which may have short lead times, manage customer and employee issues, and assist leadership in meeting departmental productivity goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Five years of full time dental experience that includes front office functions that includes third party insurance, working knowledge of dental nomenclature, clinical procedures ( including infection control), treatment sequencing, and procedural time requirements, working knowledge and use of electronic dental software and clinical chairside experience is highly desired
2. Two year supervisory and management experience is required; experience that demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and progressive leadership responsibilities that involves consistent involvement of confidential employee or client information may be substituted for management experience
3. Work experience in a group practice setting with responsibilities over 4 or more support staff is highly desired
4. A current Driver's License and daily access to an automobile is required
