JOB SUMMARY: Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical programs to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care for patients. Provides pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. Participates in independent or collaborative projects that improve patient care or resolve clinical problems and participates in scholarly activities. Monitors and evaluates drug therapy to promote rational, safe, and cost-effective, medication use within the institution. Educates and evaluates pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and/or pharmacy students to develop and improve skills necessary for providing pharmaceutical care. Educates other health care professionals to promote optimal patient care. Provides age/developmentally appropriate patient care in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served. Participates in planning processes by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives. Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

What You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.

Nice To Have (Not Required):

  • Completion of a Residency program is preferred. 
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years pharmacy management experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
  • The ideal candidate for this position would be a high energy individual with previous experience and/or advanced training. 
  • Other qualities, skills and attributes would include:

    • Ability to train, supervise, and lead a team of individuals.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
