Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced full-time Posting Specialist for our Raleigh office. This position is a key revenue cycle team member and the primary role that ensures timely and accurate posting of all account activity to our practice management system. This position requires strong computer skills, a deep understanding of all types of medical billing transactions and the ability to balance and complete activities in timely fashion. After a complete training and proficiency testing period that is office-based, this role may be able to transition to work remotely, so long as the individual can operate independently, efficiently and effectively in a HIPAA-compliant, home-based setting.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Electronic remittance and payment posting
Using practice management software and vendor systems to review, post and reconcile manual remittances and payments from insurers and patients
Electronic Supplemental Payment Posting
Answer incoming calls and assist with payment questions
Use billing software and systems to inquire accounts, report status and accept payments by phone.
Review charges with credit balances for appropriate resolution, which may involve insurance and/or patient refunds
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of posting experience
1-2 years of revenue cycle management experience
Proficiency with scanner equipment, windows-based systems, practice management software
