Wald Wire Manufacturing is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Oshkosh, WI

Purpose:

Responsible for gathering pertinent information from internal and external sources to provide quotations to customers professionally and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process quote requests from current and potential customers and return them to the customer on time
  • Analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other information provided to ensure the project is an appropriate fit for our capabilities and tooling and to meet the customer's quality requirements
  • Ensure quotes returned include all aspects of the project and production processes to meet customer expectations
  • Ability to provide analysis of projects to ensure business fit and proactively plan for more complex production needs
  • Provide troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to ensure continuous growth of the department
  • Assist in maintaining a clean office environment by performing light cleaning duties as needed
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Wald Wire Management

Tools & Technology:

  • Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Secondary education degree preferred
  • Utilize various business processing systems, including cloud-based processing software and Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with metal fabrication operations and equipment
  • Experience with Solid Works and FTP sites preferred
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment
  • Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications
  • Strong math and Excel skills
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Can effectively solve problems with confidence

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • 8 hours of screen time/ day
  • Environment is climate controlled
  • Ability to work independently or part as a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
