Your Role at Walker Walker Consultants is seeking a talented entry-level Project Manager for our Waltham, MA office. The Project Manager will be responsible for working alongside our structural engineers, architects and planners and leading a successful interdisciplinary building design project from conceptual design through construction. This position will work within our Design & Consulting Group on new and existing parking structures and be responsible for managing the project quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Determine client requirements and direct a team of talented professionals.
- Perform as functional designer on parking design projects.
- Lead client meetings and presentations.
- Develop building and planning solutions from the beginning to the end of a project.
- Manage several projects at a time and have an abundance of client interaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and/or Architecture.
- Professional Engineer, Structural Engineer, and/or Architecture licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months is preferred.
- 6 plus years of experience in coordinating architectural, structural, civil and MEP designers in the preparation of drawings and specifications for concrete and steel buildings.
- Demonstrated experience in Planning and Building design and construction.
- Experience successfully managing or assisting with management of multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience in functional, structural and architectural design of parking structures is highly desired, but not required.
- Prior project management experience
- Experience reviewing contracts
