Assistant Project Manager Marine Contractor
Walker Diving Underwater Construction, LLC. – Hammonton, NJ. 08037
Responsible for managing “The Project Life Cycle” as it relates to established service work and new inbound Time & Material work for new clients. Life Cycle Management includes estimating, planning, organizing, directing and completing a project. The primary goal of the Assistant Project Manager (APM) is to ensure that a project is completed successfully on time and within budget. Daily tasks expected of the APM include regular communication with team members and clients, budget and resource monitoring, problem-solving and issue resolution and making budget and schedule adjustments as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Determine and define a project’s scope and objectives
Communicating with clients, management, and team members on the status of tasks & schedule
Working with vendors to coordinate deliverables
Developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan
Monitoring workflow requirements to meet timelines and quality expectations
Creating comprehensive project briefs
Preparing a budget based on scope of work and availability of resources
Establishing and maintaining timelines and milestones
Conducting video calls and meetings
Monitoring and redefining project objectives when required
Skills/Qualifications
3 years of project management and/or related marine management experience
Ability to read/understand project plans, specifications and contract requirements
Planning and forecasting
Effective communication, both written and verbal
Scheduling and time management
Negotiation
Leadership and Problem-solving
Excellent analytical skills
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline
Dive experience preferred
