We are hiring for a Safety Manager in our Austin Division.
The Safety Manager will provide effective, pro-active management, leadership and direction consistent with the company Safety Program to multiple divisions, locations, project teams and jobsites by supporting Safety Coordinators, Safety Representatives, and jobsite supervision. Safety Regional Managers will deliver appropriate problem-solving skills and assist the V.P. of Safety in achieving and maintaining a culture of continuous safety improvement.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support the V.P. of Safety in leading and implementing corporate safety policies.
2. Provide safety oversight on multiple projects.
3. Gather the information necessary to assist in developing subsequent safety programs and policies.
4. Provide professional direction and mentorship to field safety personnel.
5. Identify training needs, develop training curriculum, provide training when needed.
6. Provide technical electrical safety education.
7. Assist project teams with safety compliance.
8. Perform jobsite safety audits and recommend appropriate hazard solutions.
9. Assist with incident investigations and recommend follow-up resolution.
10. Attend supervisor and foremen meetings, contributing safety updates, statistics, trends, etc.
11. Ensure uniform interpretation of site safety procedures.
12. Occasionally perform Sit Safety Manager duties.
13. Interact with general contractor safety personnel and management.
14. Engage regularly with industry safety associations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Thorough skill and understanding of the electrical industry.
· Valid driver’s license satisfactory for company minimum requirements.
· Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
· Ability to travel.
· Progressive career history, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
· Strong teamwork and integrity orientation.
· Excellent knowledge of electrical safety rules and regulations.
· OSHA 500 Certification
Certifications: Appropriate safety credentials (CSP, CSHO, etc.) preferred
Education: College degree or coursework preferred
Experience: 10 years in construction safety with electrical knowledge/experience preferred
