The Painter Show Finisher will produce and maintain themed show sets, props, figures, and characters in a shop and/or field environment. The Painter Show Finisher will use multiple mediums and materials including FRP, butyrate, latex, oil base products, adhesives, urethanes, silicone, poly-mixes, acrythanes, enamels and black light. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. Valid Florida drivers license
Minimum of five years experience in a scenic painting or related field
Experience with silicone repairs and painting, plastisol/hot melt skin buttering, sculpting with various mediums, tree and foliage fabrication, fur and feathering techniques, scenic set painting, scenic treatments pertaining to attractions, airbrushing skills, and/or extensive hand painting techniques
Possess and present a portfolio reflecting past work experiences and projects of his or her work in relation to animated figures, skins, mold making, vehicles, dry brush, wash and faux texture painting techniques, and character finishes
Knowledge of human anatomy artistically and mechanically
Applied skills in fur, sewing, and pattern making
Basic understanding of black light paint and techniques
Knowledge of fiberglass and butyrate repairs and maintenance
Sculpting ability demonstrating a variety of forms, subjects, and techniques
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
