Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries promptly and accurately
- Register incoming shipments and distribute items to the appropriate departments
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Organize and clean stock areas regularly
- Catalog items efficiently for easy retrieval
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed
- Address any shipping-related issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to resolve inventory handling challenges
- Safely operate lift trucks and other material-handling equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition
- Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving role
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ideally, the candidate has worked in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads
