Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will own payroll, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and collaborate with various departments to support financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll, invoices to vendors, and other associated tasks.
• Analyze and resolve payroll issues.
• Oversee the AP and AR functions.
• Review the P&L for accuracy (as it relates to payroll functions).
• Collaborate closely with company leadership, Operations, Contracting Officers, Teaming Partners, and Staff.
• Ensure compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ensure compliance with all appropriate and required company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability, and manage business risks.
• Counsel leadership on existing and evolving operating/financial issues.
• Communicate financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand and drive desired behaviors.
• Leverage technology and effectively uses information systems and tools to generate financial reports and provide leadership with analytical support to drive decision-making.
• Ensure data security and privacy.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
