OVERVIEW OF ROLE :

The Pricing Customer Service Provider ensures the customer is always serviced first by providing accurate and timely responses to Spot Quote requests that makes them want to do business with Ward.

She / he grows our business through customer retention while balancing costs by performing clerical duties efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Receives spot quotes via phone, e-mail or the web site
• Evaluate spot quote requests to ensure within our current capacity guidelines
• Attention to detail and entry of specific code guidelines a must.
• Communicate directly with SCM’s on volume shipments as identified by your

Supervisor

• Answer telephones in accordance with Ward standards.
• Serve customers by coordinating problem resolution where needed.

via CD or Customer Service.

Resolve problems in a timely manner, communicate resolution to all parties

involved, and check to ensure satisfaction level with the way it was handled.

Provide internal customer service to personnel from other departments and service

center locations.

Demonstrate personal reliability by consistently meeting attendance / punctuality

commitments.

Support teamwork by cooperating with others and willingly putting forth effort to

achieve Company goals. Establish and maintain good working relationship with

other team members.

Fully support all technologies and processes, introduced by Ward, that are intended

to improve efficiency and / or the customer experience. Support would include

adherence to training programs, guidelines and processes associated with these

systems.

Perform other duties, tasks and projects as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Must have proficient data entry skills with high attention to detail.
• Reasoning / Mathematical skills - ability to calculate discounts, fuel charges, etc. and

apply within established guidelines, etc

• Must be extremely customer focused with good people skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high pace environment at times.
• Must have previous experience in a business atmosphere.
• Previous experience in the motor carrier industry is desirable. Prior quoting or spot

quoting experience is a plus.

Ability to work required hours (night shift, overtime if applicable) and travel if

necessary.

Must be a team player and maintain good working relationships both internally and

externally.
