Special Education Administrator Oversight of IEPs and Warwick’s compliance with special education state and federal law Oversight and ongoing development of Warwick’s special education policies and procedures Coach the school level Education Team Leader Observe, coach, supervise and evaluate special educators In collaboration with the leadership team and our new early childhood classroom teacher, help to oversee the creation and development of our new, inclusive junior kindergarten program Oversee trainings for staff related to students with disabilities and related topics (e.g. the state’s new IEP system) Locate and work with the superintendent to apply for grants to provide innovative and supportive programming for students with disabilities Use her network to assist the superintendent and principal in the recruitment and hiring of new special education teachers and staff; participate on the hiring committees for such roles Communicate with special educators in other districts on Warwick’s behalf Collaborate with early intervention colleagues and participate in IEP meetings for preschoolers
