Bookmobile Driver/Circulation Library Assistant ** Bookmobile Driver/Circulation Library Assistant**

The Washington County Free Library has a FT position opening for a Library Assistant. Applicant will be working for the Bookmobile and Circulation Dept. The position is Monday - Friday with benefits.

The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to learn how to drive a 35 vehicle (like a school bus). He/she must also be able to lift up to 50lbs and work as a team. He/she must drive Bookmobile, inspect vehicle daily, perform basic maintenance and schedule maintenance. **Duties include**: Bookmobile, outreach service, assisting patrons with register patrons, charging, discharging library materials, data entry, shelving books and materials, remove or repair damaged books or and other duties as assigned**. Required skills, knowledge and abilities**: Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public. HS graduate or equivalent, valid drivers license and proof of a clean driving record will be required. Previous library experience preferred but not a requirement. **Candidate must have excellent direct-contact customer service skills**; demonstrate interest in libraries; the ability to work individually and with others**.**
