Description

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for an entry-level IT Support Representative position. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows computers and, preferably, with printers. While a degree or certification in computer building, troubleshooting, and customer support is preferred, demonstrated skills in these areas are also acceptable. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, smartphones, security updates and patches

2. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming work orders related to computer systems, software, and hardware

3. Maintain integrity of the network and server security

4. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software

5. Diagnose and fix computers infected with viruses, adware, and spyware

 

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

1. Provide technical support for Windows-based systems.

2. Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues.

3. Maintain and manage IT equipment.

4. Travel to our clinics in the Greater Albemarle Area for on-site support.

5. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.

6. Work primarily from our hospital in Plymouth NC.

7. Provide phone support and be available for after-hours support for our hospital and clinics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with Windows computers – hardware and software (required).

2. Experience with printers (preferred).

3. Degree or certification in computer building or support (preferred) or demonstrated skills.

4. High energy and a willingness to learn.

5. Strong customer relationship skills.

6. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

7. Must have own transportation and be willing to travel.

8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Skill Assessment:

A proficiency test will be administered during the interview to assess necessary skill sets.
