Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Supports achievement of strategic quality performance objectives through the development, application, and use of relevant data sources in collaboration with primary stakeholders, as applied to the organizations key service lines, clinical processes, and business functions.
  • Apply and relate key theories and concepts of improving organizational performance to design or redesign daily operations to achieve maximum workflow efficiency, clinical effectiveness, and exceptional customer service.
  • Assess and effectively apply primary data sources for analysis and submission throughout all phases of Quality/PI project development and completion.
  • Analyze all relevant data sources and summarize information into meaningful reports for use in performance improvement decision-making by a variety of hospital, medical and/or senior leaders.
  • Consistently work effectively with internal and external customers, both individually and in groups to facilitate change and improvement in a manner which is consistent with our mission of caring and service.
  • Supports legacy EHR informatics through maintenance and prioritization/design of new requests to meet financial, regulatory and patient safety requirements.
  • Effectively prioritize, manage, and organize workflow and assignment into accurate and timely output over time.
  • Collaborate on quality and performance improvement initiatives with clinical departments.
  • Work directly with the Executive Director of Quality and the CQO on quality care, patient safety, and performance initiatives.
  • Participate actively on clinical committees and taskforces.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree required, bachelors degree may be substituted with Clinical Licensure. Masters degree preferred.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Clinical licensure, preferred. Quality certifications (CPHQ, CPPS, Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.) are beneficial.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of acute care clinical experience. Analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal communication and project management skills, and a high level of personal integrity required. Experience in clinical or regulatory quality and/ or project management is beneficial.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will spend 20% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
