Position Overview:

Washington Shoe Company is seeking a dynamic and creative Graphic Print Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will use their skills and creativity to create original trend-appropriate illustrations and graphic concepts for all design needs, logos, products, and packaging, while ensuring that their work aligns seamlessly with our brand's vision. They would possess a keen eye for color, print, scale, and pattern. As the Graphic Print Artist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the brand awareness, driving sales, and creating smiles for our customers.

Graphic Print Artist responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with design team and marketing to gather industry data on key trends.
• Creating prints and illustrations for footwear, apparel, accessories, packaging, and promotional materials.
• Maintain and elevate brand aesthetic across all touchpoints and all graphic design tools.
• Creating spec tech packs for sample development.
• Communicating with overseas factories and agents, providing design comments with visual and physical references.
• Managing deadlines, ensuring projects and presentations are completed on time.
• Creating presentation boards for customers and sales teams.
• Assisting and attending design meetings, sample reviews, and line reviews.
• A possibility of traveling for meetings and tradeshows.
• Take on additional design projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in art or design related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in design.
• Proven track record of developing and executing original print designs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in CAD using Adobe Illustrator & Creative Suite, Photoshop.
• Common business applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
