?The Department of Natural Resources has an exciting opportunity within the Office of the Commissioner of Public Lands. This position serves as the principal assistant with delegated authority performing administrative support duties for the Deputy Supervisor for Forest Resilience, Regulation, and Aquatic Resources Divisions. The position reports directly to the Deputy and is part of the Executive Assistant Team within the Office of the Commissioner

Responsibilitie

  • s:Provides confidential administrative support to the Deputy and their tea
  • m.Effectively coordinates executive calendaring and meeting managemen
  • t.Oversees the day-to-day operations in clerical and general matters, and is responsible for determining administrative practices and methods for the most efficient office procedure
  • s.Coordinates, edits, and proofreads various types of publications, presentations, and correspondenc
  • e.Tracks deadlines and assignments; prioritizing incoming and outgoing requests. Coordinates with agency staff as needed to ensure completion of assignments in a timely manne
  • r.Coordinates all aspects of travel arrangements to include detailed itinerarie
  • s.Respond to public disclosure requests and ensure compliance with agency and state retention schedule
  • s.Acts as the division liaison, conferring with agency staff and stakeholders regarding the interpretation and implementation of division policies; participates in establishing communication protocols and identifying areas for division developmen
  • t.Plans, evaluates, and consults with staff and stakeholders to identify problems, explore solutions and alternatives, and recommend solutions designed to meet the goals and objectives of the division services, programs, and project

Required Qualification

  • s: Five years of administrative experience, preferably with three at the senior assistant lev
  • el;Working knowledge of state government operatio
  • ns;Proficiency in the use of Windows Office Sui
  • te;Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skil
  • ls;Ability to multi-task, prioritize work for self, balance workload, meet short deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to deta
