Responsibilitie

  • s:Independently, with periodic spot-check reviews, conduct real property title examination and research of upland property owned and managed by the State of Washington, DN
  • R.In a timely, proficient, and professional manner, monitor and fulfill new, and second search requests, received from customers primarily via the Title & Records Office resource email box LR-App-Request@dnr.wa.gov, for real estate Record Search Reports by identifying, locating, evaluating, ascertaining, and interpreting ownership and rights documents such as real estate deeds, real estate purchase, and sale contracts, real estate lease contracts, easement contracts, etc., to create a complete, accurate and up-to-date record of titl
  • e.Prepare and maintain an official set of state land records for the State of Washington, DNR, portfolio of upland real propert
  • y.Apply laws, methods, and principles of real estate transactions, contracts, and negotiation
  • s.Prepare professional Title Record Search Reports confirming ownership and reflecting encumbrances on state land and possible appurtenant easement rights of way over private land
  • s.Utilize various agency information sources and tools, in determining ownership and encumbrances, including geospatial technologies such as Esri ArcGIS Pro and Road Easement Geographical Information Systems (REGIS); the ApplicationXtender (AX) Automated Tract Book (ATB) enterprise-level document and data management system; NaturE soon to become Land Agreement Management System (LAMS) system; county auditor's and assessor's office's online databases; and private title insurance companies online and hardcopy resource
  • s.Assist and support higher-level Property & Acquisition Specialists with the review and interpretation of complex, large transactions in preparation for advancemen

Required Qualificatio

  • ns: Bachelor's degree involving major study in Business or Public Administration, Real Estate, Geomatics, Economics, Accounting, or related field AND Two years or more of experience in activities such as real estate acquisition, sales, leasing, appraisal, title examination, escrow closing, property management, relocation assistance, or selling, leasing or buying agricultural, timberland or commercial real estate, or auditing, or appraising real property for fair market value. OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in the above-related fie
