What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Researcher position at Washington University in St. Louis?
We are a protein design and engineering lab combining state-of-the-art technologies in computational protein design with experimental validation. This is a unique moment as protein design using AI is rapidly becoming very successful in generating custom proteins. We are developing antivirals, vaccines and gene delivery devices; projects can be in either area depending on previous training.
The Strauch lab (strauchlab.com) is a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment interfacing with various groups in virology and immunology on and beyond the WashU campus. We have state-of-the-art computing and laboratory equipment, including cell sorter, BLI, FPLC system, Light scattering, tissue culture, etc, and excellent cores for next-generation sequencing or cryoEM on campus for any needs that may come up.
