StoreMore Self Storage & WashLand Laundromat has a full time positions open for immediate hiring! We’re open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM until around 10 PM. The last customer can come in before 10 PM and we close when they are finished. Most nights you will be out of there by 10:15 PM.

This position will work 4-5 days a week, nights and weekends will be required.

Job Summary

We are a self-storage facility, vended laundromat and U-Haul dealership. Candidates will be expected to handle responsibilities across all three services. A flexible work schedule, with availability to work mid-week and weekends is required.

Self-Storage duties

• Provide exceptional service over the phone as well as to walk-in customers
• Recommend appropriate unit sizes and services based on each customer's needs
• Sell merchandise including packing/moving supplies and insurance to protect our customers’ goods
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and take payments
• Make collection calls on delinquent accounts
• Perform property maintenance both inside the facility and on the grounds including; sweeping, mopping and removing debris from units
• Coordinate and facilitate maintenance and repairs

Laundromat duties

• Interact with our guests in a friendly and courteous manner
• Demonstrate how to use equipment and answer customer questions
• Must be able to do laundry for our Wash, Dry, Fold customers in an efficient and satisfactory manner
• Report equipment/cleaning product needs and/or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the facility. This can entail dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning smudges off windows and doors. Ensuring restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and restocked.

U-Haul duties

• You will interface with customers to identify what they are looking for so that you can recommend the right equipment for their moving needs
• Assist customers by educating them on our products and services, answering questions, and preparing rental invoices
• Once properly trained, you may also assist customers outside on the lot as well by installing trailer hitches and light wiring harnesses on customer's vehicles, ensuring vehicle fluid levels are properly filled, performing clean-up of trucks, trailers, and other rental items, and accepting equipment returned from rental 

Qualifications

We are seeking someone who enjoys customer interaction and takes pride in the appearance of the store. We want to ensure that our customers are treated with the highest level of courtesy and professionalism.

The candidate must have:

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
• A high school diploma or equivalent; college education is a plus
• A minimum of three years of customer service and/or retail sales experience
• An energetic, outgoing, customer-oriented personality
• Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
• High level of ownership, accountability, attentiveness to detail and initiative
• Computer knowledge including operating a Point of Sale (POS) system is preferred
• Ability and willingness to tend to the property by performing light cleaning including sweeping, mopping, dusting, changing light bulbs and removing debris from units

While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, bend, climb or balance on a ladder, and maneuver around physical properties while performing various maintenance and inspection duties. On occasion, you may need to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
