Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Supervisor. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing operations staff, ensuring efficiency and productivity, and analyzing operational data. They will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication channels, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and implementing process improvements to optimize operations.
Responsibilities
- Leads and manages field employees which include weekly schedules, managing time and attendance, routing, training, performance management and coaching.
- Daily logs need to be submitted daily to Operations department manager
- Bulk Item “extra” hauling sheets need to be submitted in daily to Operations department manager
- Notify supervisor and get approval for any recommendations, changes, and scheduling.
- Address service issues with properties. Delegate tasks as appropriate to Customer Service, Business Manager, and field employees.
- Client site inspections and site service audits.
- Checks field crew work daily or when time permits.
- Opens warehouse daily.
- Leads daily safety notifications and trainings.
- Ensures field employees are compliant with company policies and Codes of Conduct.
- Ensure proper maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
- Weekly Truck inspections need to be submitted weekly every Thursday, to Operations manager.
- Build and maintain client relationships with property managers and maintenance teams.
- Rollout and lead new services and initiatives to field employees.
- Effectively communicate relevant information to all WasteXperts departments including HR, Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure service levels and operations are meeting company standard.
- Promote a positive and safe workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Supervisory Skills and Operations Management experience
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Excellent Communication skills
- Experience in waste management or related field is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualified Operations Supervisors may have:
- 2 years of supervising/managing in a dynamic, people-driven environment
- Work experience in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or similar industry
- Intermediate skills in MS Office and related business systems preferred
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday shifts, 3:00 am start time
- Holiday availability as needed
- Overtime
