Job Title: Library Clerk
Job Description:
The position requires the ability to provide excellent customer service in a professional and reliable manner. The Library Clerk performs basic library duties including shelving and retrieving materials, customer service to library visitors and providing circulation services.
Duties of the Job:
1. Performs circulation desk duties:
· Provides routine information and assistance to patrons including but not limited to:
· Excellent customer service
· Checking materials in and out on library Polaris system
· Sort and shelve library materials.
· Physically locating library materials within the collection for holds and customer assistance
· Assist in maintaining a neat and tidy appearance of the Library
· Computers, printing etc.
2. Assists with programs and events as necessary
3. Performs other duties at the discretion of the Library Director
Job Requirements:
1. Effective communication skills
2. Responsible
3. Flexibility within hours and job description
4. Proficient Computer skills including Windows & Microsoft products
5. Previous Library Experience a plus
Minimum Wage
Days, evenings, possible Saturdays.
Library Hours include:
M-W 10-6
R-F 10-5
Saturdays 10-1
10 to 15 hrs/wk
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
