Accountant / Tax Accountant:

We are seeking driven candidates to join our team, with opportunities available for both full-time, part-time and seasonal positions located in Appleton, WI. Part-time roles will entail approximately 20 hours per week, while full-time positions adhere to a standard 40-hour work week. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of accounting and tax experience. As an added perk, this role offers the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements, allowing for a balanced mix of in-office and remote work opportunities.

Job Type: Part-time, Full Time or Seasonal (tax season)

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing, preparing and finalizing individual tax returns for clients, including some S-corp and Partnership returns.
• Compiling financial information, processing journal entries, reconciling reports and financial data.
• Utilizing various software applications, such as spreadsheets and accounting packages, to manipulate and format data and reports.
• Gathering client information for working on tax estimates / projections.
• Demonstrating proficiency in general and intermediate accounting/bookkeeping principles.

Qualifications:

• Experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of state and federal tax form processes and how to accurately prepare forms for each.
• Experience with S-corp and Partnership tax return preparation.
• Strong understanding of accounting, tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to perform intermediate accounting functions such as financial statement preparation and accounts receivable.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Pro Series and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Experience in the financial services industry or a willingness to learn is a plus.
