Production Manager

Purpose:

Responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor. Accomplishes tasks in a manner that reflects the high-quality standards on which Waterstone Faucets was founded.

In this role, the production manager will manage all personnel, management of production equipment and ensure the efficiency of operations. Execute the schedule plan to achieve desired results. The production manager is responsible for increasing productivity with innovative methods and motivating staff to perform effectively, while ensuring safety regulations are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff.

· Manage and schedule production jobs/tasks in alignment with the production schedule and priorities.

· Ensures that all employees can perform their jobs safely and efficiently,

· Responsible for producing high quality parts under our quality standards.

· Manage and track productivity and utilization of personnel and equipment to meet departmental goals (KPI’s).

· Daily collection and analysis data to be uploaded and distributed to management for review.

· Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching, training, and development.

· Makes personnel decision, resolves employee issues through problem resolution techniques.

· Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

· Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.

· Overseeing workflow and process controls to anticipate, detect, and address factors that affect operations.

· Evaluating machine and auxiliary equipment to ensure continued production with minimal downtime.

· Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.

· Meet with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.

· Enforce safety regulations and protocols and perform accident investigations. Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free.

· Track absenteeism and timekeeping. Monitors and schedules overtime as needed.

· Daily interaction with employees from various departments. Able to adapt to priority changes, collaborate with others, maintain positive working relationships.

· Requires regular, reliable attendance.

· Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Supervision:

Fulfills managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Qualifications:

· A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training and a one- or two-year certificate from college or technical school or a minimum of 9 years related experience and/or training. Ability to work in a team environment as contributor and leader.

· Must have 5 years’ experience in a production environment, supervisory experience preferred. Should have in-depth knowledge of the operations of a manufacturing environment. Furthermore, should have experience in the managing of jobs/contracts, production scheduling, materials sourcing, labor sourcing, cost management, and general management of staff.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

· Good manual dexterity, hand and eye coordination and ability to work and stand for long periods of time working with small intricate parts.

· Able to complete tasks without mistakes and error free; detail-oriented; makes timely decisions.

· Follows policies and procedures; Completes tasks correctly and on time; supports organization’s goals and values.

· Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Works well in group problem solving situations.

· Maintains confidentiality; Remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.

· Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

· Excellent organization and communication skills; fluency in English mandatory.

Pay: $84,816.00 - $90,924.00 per year
