Performs sonography examinations for clinical assessment and the diagnosis of medical conditions under general supervision of the attending Physician.Procedures will be performed according to departmental protocols, policies and procedures and established standards of practice. Performs high level disinfection of probes following departmental protocols.Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor reflective of medical ethics.Assesses and monitors patients, and provides appropriate patient care. Provides training and mentorship to other sonographers to enhance skills, improve processes, and delivers feedback to management on performance of fellow sonographers. Precepts students and participates in development of programs for ultrasound growth.
Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program and ARDMS registry eligible required
Required License:
ARRT registry with ultrasound credential preferred
