The Intensive Care Unit at Watertown Regional Medical Center is a 4-bed medical/ surgical ICU. Registered Nurses staff the unit to care for critically ill patients. Hospitalist physicians (on site) collaborate to provide consistently excellent patient care!

Full time position, (0.9 FTE): 72 hours/per pay period / 3 - 12 hr shifts - including every third weekend and every other holiday

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Associate of Science Degree in Nursing
• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
• Current ACLS certification for HealthCare Providers or within 6 months of hire

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• Three years current critical care RN experience
• Current CMSRN certification or within 2 years of hire

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing treatment plans.
- Utilize critical care experience to assess and manage patients with complex medical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in EMR and EHR systems.
- Stay current with best practices in critical care nursing and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Demonstrate proficiency in catheterization, IV insertion, and other core nursing skills.
