SummaryThe UPS Shipper is responsible for the shipment of products, materials, and supplies that support the Pump Service Network (PSN) and Watertronics. The UPS shipper collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, PSN representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products. They will track, trace, and update the status of outgoing shipments.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Receive parts orders from PSN Administrator
- Pull from inventory to support orders; notify PSN Administrator of any parts shortages and relay shortages to Purchasing department. Check status of backordered parts.
- Protectively package, label, and enter shipments into the UPS Worldship
- Enter all parcel and customer pickup shipment information into MO log portal
- Provide packing list to PSN Administrator
- Handle or support resolving issues arising in shipping or inventory
- Receive RMAs into log and initiate RMA disposition process
- Maintain inventory of packaging supplies
- Provide input on product and process improvements, as well as corrections to drawings, specifications, or bill of materials.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
Education And/or Experience
- Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma
- Requires good knowledge of Widows based computers
- Requires strong interpersonal and written communication skills to interact with other employees
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts
- Detail-oriented and multitasking skills
Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics for this position are in an industrial setting where all policies regarding safety have to be followed. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
